New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales is aware of the moment with Super Bowl LX just moments away from opening kick-off.
Borregales has played in all three of the Patriots’ playoff games in 2025. The Miami product is 4-for-6 on field goals. His two misses have come from 40 yards away or further. The Super Bowl often comes down to a field goal kick in the waning moments of the game. Borregales has put in work on the field prior to the start of the game to prevent a potential third miss from over 40 yards out.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Borregales attempted field goals from beyond 60 feet out in pre-game warmups.
“Pre-game warmups: Kicker Andy Borregales extended his field-goal work to a long of 60-62 yards, and had the distance to clear the crossbar (final attempt was clearly good),” Reiss said.
As has been the case of late, three of the last five Super Bowls have been decided by three points or less. The Patriots won their first three Super Bowls by three points apiece. Borregales has franchise history, as well as recency to be fixated on as he looks to prevent missing from long distances in the big game.
