Rough day for Abigail Strate in Olympic ski jumping

But on Saturday, with a two-jump total of 240.4 points, Strate was nowhere near the podium, which was topped, somewhat surprisingly, by Norway’s Anna Odine Stroem. She scored 267.3 total points, a gold medal and a massive upset over reigning world champ Nika Prevc of Slovenia, who took silver with 266.2 points, ahead of Japan’s Nozomi Maruyama with bronze and 261.8 points.
