Esports org NIP is now mining almost $20 million in Bitcoin a month

NIP Group, the company behind esports brand Ninjas in Pyjamas, is now one of the biggest Bitcoin miners in the world, set to generate close to $20 million in Bitcoin every month.

The Abu Dhabi-based gaming and entertainment company announced that its mining operation has expanded to produce about 160 Bitcoins each month. With the cryptocurrency currently trading around $108,000, the mined Bitcoin would be worth over $17 million.

To make this possible, NIP upgraded its mining capacity to around 11.3 “exahashes” per second, a measure of computing power used in Bitcoin mining. In simple terms, it means the company now operates one of the most powerful mining setups of any public company.

NIP Group Co-CEO Hicham Chahine said the expansion is part of a wider plan to build computing power that can be used across multiple industries.

“Building large-scale computing power gives us a stronger foundation to pursue opportunities in high-performance computing, crypto mining and AI applications in gaming and entertainment,” he said.

NIP acquired additional mining hardware and computing infrastructure, with the purchase paid for with new company shares, totaling more than 314 million, and is expected to close by November 30, 2025.

Carl Agren, COO of NIPG Mining and Digital Assets, added that the new equipment will be deployed quickly to start generating revenue immediately while preparing for future AI and gaming applications.

NIP said the expansion aligns with its partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, which supports the company’s new digital division headquarters in the UAE capital.
