Dow surges past 50,000 as tech stocks recover while bitcoin stops plunging




NEW YORK (AP) — The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 1,100 points and topped 50,000 for the first time as the U.S. stock market stormed back to recover much of its losses from earlier in the week. The Dow jumped 2.2% in afternoon trading Friday.
