FEMAFOOT: FIFA and CAF call for an extraordinary general assembly

The crisis within the Malian Football Federation is expected to reach a resolution in the coming weeks. FIFA and CAF have laid out a roadmap that includes organizing an extraordinary general assembly to elect a new executive committee and its president.

Contrary to widespread predictions following the major paralysis at the Malian Football Federation caused by the resignation of 13 executive committee members—which automatically led to the president stepping down—there will be no normalization committee.
