Chris Selley: So long to the Islamophobia and antisemitism czars


The era of Islamophobia and antisemitism czars is over in Ottawa. Henceforth, the federal Liberal government announced Wednesday, a new Advisory Council on Rights, Equality and Inclusion will seize itself with such issues in a broader fashion, outside of the existing “silos.” It’s a defensible move. But it’s worth remembering what a disaster the Islamophobia position, in particular, was from the get-go.
