5 Chic Madewell Denim Trends to Wear In 2026

New year, new denim. This year’s denim rules are in full effect: Skinny jeans are back, and fashion people are wearing them oversize blazers and crisp poplin shirts to make them cool again. White denim is acceptable year-round, if you didn’t know. Bootcut jeans outfits are a Gen Z must-wear. Japanese denim is where you go if you want to take your denim drawer to the next level. And in 2026, denim is lightweight and comfortable. Or at least that’s everything I spotted at Madewell.

Madewell denim is an editor-favorite for many reasons. One: Pricing is constant and affordable, with many options under $150. Two: Sizing is inclusive, with curvy, petite, short, and tall options available. Three: Quality construction and versatile wear. Madewell jeans look best with an elevated basics like a classic white T-shirt or a chunky knit for a chic sweater-and-jeans fit.
