As dusk settled over the hills of Eagle Rock in Los Angeles, the gates of Flamingo Estate opened to a candlelit dinner with the grand hostess herself, Martha Stewart.
Held in collaboration with Flamingo Estate owner Richard Christiansen, Stewart marked the launch of Elm Biosciences’ A30 Elemental Night Cream alongside a mix of industry leaders and influencers. Guests included her business partner and dermatologist Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali (behind Rhode), celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, entrepreneurs Lauryn and Michael Bosstick, Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills, makeup artist and YouTuber Laura Lee, and creators Sarah Palmyra and Ashley Paige.
Guests were welcomed along a softly lit garden path lined with fruit trees, cacti and flickering lanterns. The seven-acre property features a Moroccan-inspired design by Paris-based Studio KO and functions as both Christiansen’s residence and a cultural hub. Christiansen regularly hosts events spanning beauty, wellness, fashion and music. He also runs the Flamingo Estate brand, producing seasonal goods including fruits and vegetables, honey, olive oil and candles — many of which are harvested from the estate’s gardens.
Launched in September 2025, Stewart describes Elm Biosciences as a brand rooted in “intentional skin care for living well and aging well.” With more than five years of research and development, the line debuted with the A30 Elemental Serum and a supplement designed to work in tandem. The newly introduced A30 Elemental Night Cream builds on that foundation, pairing a targeted retinoid with the brand’s proprietary A30 Complex, ectoin and skin-supporting lipids to smooth the appearance of fine lines, enhance firmness and deliver hydration overnight, according to the brand.
