The start of a new calendar year often means a slowdown for the sport of boxing. That is not the case for 2026, as the schedule is loaded with intriguing fights in January and February.

The early highlight of the schedule was Shakur Stevenson’s domination of Teofimo Lopez Jr. to win the WBO junior welterweight championship. It was a true pound-for-pound performance from Stevenson, who won nearly every second of a fight against the most dangerous foe of his career.

We’re now looking ahead to some intriguing fights in February, starting with Nick Ball defending his WBA featherweight championship against former world champion Brandon Figueroa on Feb. 7. Also, on Feb. 15, Zuffa Boxing returns for the third card in promotion history. In the main event, Efe Ajagba will battle former heavyweight champion Charles Martin.

Then near the end of the month, a DAZN PPV is set with a terrific welterweight title main event. Champion Mario Barrios is set to defend his belt against Ryan Garcia in a fight sure to deliver on action.

There are many other title fights, featuring top fighters, which have created a very intriguing kickoff to the sport for 2026.

Take a look at the calendar for 2026 below.
