New York-based JetBlue is looking to lure in new guests at its first-ever airport lounge at New York John F. Kennedy Airport. Usually, lounge access can be restricted for airlines’ most frequent fliers or lounge members, but as first suggested by The Points Guy, JetBlue will look to attract other customers into the lounge on a one-time basis for a one-off fee.
Currently, BlueHouse access is reserved for its top-tier Mosaic elite status members, alongside premium credit card holders, or travelers destined for Europe on the airlines Mint Lie-flat business class product. One caveat that the airline has made clear from the outset is that a BlueHouse day pass will not be eligible for those with short-haul itineraries, and non-members of the airline’s frequent flier program.
BlueHouse JFK
JetBlue opened its first BlueHouse lounge at
New York JFK Airport (JFK) in December last year, and it marked the airlines first ever lounge. The carrier is planning its second lounge at
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) by the middle of the year.
For a limited time, JetBlue appears to be attempting to lure in lower-tier frequent flier members to test out the BlueHouse lounge, while also offering lower-tier credit card holders the opportunity to purchase a one-off day pass to the lounge before their flights. Passengers flying in JetBlue Mint, on short-haul flights, can also purchase entry.
Currently, those who can access the lounge without restriction include Mosaic 4 Elite status members, JetBlue Premier credit card holders, or those with a Mint cabin ticket on flights to Europe.
Additional Access Not Available For Everyone
Any new airline lounge is bound to pique interest for travelers, and understanding the access restrictions for BlueHouse is no different. JetBlue has made it clear that not all passengers can enter the BlueHouse with these limited day passes, only those who have eligible itineraries or frequent flier status, as already detailed. As noted on the airline’s website, costs are outlined below:
|
Mosaic 3 elite members |
$59 per person, with eligible guests the same price |
|---|---|
|
Moasic 1 and 2 elite members |
$79 per person, with eligible guests the same price |
|
Nontransatlantic Mint passengers |
$59 per person, with eligible guests the same price |
|
JetBlue Plus Card, or JetBlue Business Card holders |
$79 per person, with eligible guests the same price (it’s worth noting this offering will start later in the week and is not available immediately) |
No JetBlue Basic fare passengers can access the BlueHouse lounge, and currently, those in eligible bookings or frequent flier tiers can bring in a guest for differing fees based on their status or reservation.
BlueHouse JFK is located in the airport’s Terminal 5, next to gate 526. The lounge remains open from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, in line with most B6 scheduled flights. The lounge is thoughtfully designed to allow guests to work, relax, drink, and eat, with residential touches that allude to the airline’s Blue colour palette.

What’s Inside?
As already mentioned, JetBlue plans to open its second BlueHouse lounge at BOS by the middle of the year. Inside, guests can enjoy a wide range of artisan drinks, including wine, draft, and local beers, or a cocktail made by top mixologists. Non-alcoholic drinks include a wide selection of teas, coffees, and other specialties.
Fresh food is prepared daily, which includes a selection of savoury and sweet premium snacks, or wider meals created by Union Square Events, and is on offer for guests to refuel before their next flight.
Inside the BlueHouse, there is complimentary wi-fi, dedicated quiet areas allowing for meditation, a TV/Games room, with board games, or a fun photo booth, private and accessible bathrooms, music playlists by RockBot, and a range of artwork specially curated for JetBlue.
Data from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey outlines JetBlue as JFK airport’s second largest airline by number of passengers served, catering for more than 14.8 million passengers between October 2024 and September 2025. This represents a 23.4% market share at the airport.
