What are we all playing this weekend?

In the past week, two keen cyclists I know have both ruled out getting on their bikes until March. Too cold, they say. Too wet, they say. I’m trying to put their warnings out of mind because I’ve seen a glimmer of sun and I am desperate to get on my velocipede, ride it out to Epping forest, and see some green.

Maybe I’ll get five miles through the big smoke before I have to turn back because my hands have gone blue, but gosh darn it I’m going to give it the old college try.

Once that’s done I will sink into a chair and rack up some hours in front of the blippity bloops. But hopefully with legs that are glad for getting out and about.

Enough about my well-stretched hams. Let’s see what the rest of the team is up to this weekend.

Edwin
By golly – two whole entire complete days in which, right now, I have no direct household, family or other life commitments and can catch up on a few of this week’s standout releases. I’ve got my eye on Cairn, Don’t Stop, Girlypop, Roots Devour, and Calyx, in particular. The winner will be whichever of these games I can play in the bath on a precariously balanced laptop, with least risk of electrocuting myself.

James
Like Edwin, I am also interested in Not Stopping, Girlypopping. Just don’t tell him or neither of us will ever get anything else done.

Mark
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I’m reviewing a thing, and also maybe playing some American Truck Simulator if I get time between that and navigating the apocalypse.

Julian
Besides a bike ride and helping move furniture up stairs, in what can be described as a weekend war on my legs, I hope to complete Skate Story. I’m a few chapters into the game where you play a demon made of glass skateboarding their way back to life but I think I can get to the end if I put in a grind. (Now I just need a game where I play as a barista so I can reuse the pun.)

Jeremy
If you read Mark’s news piece this week, you’ll know that the very substantial demo for Nioh 3 is out now. If you paid attention to this space last week, you’ll recall that I mentioned I was “suddenly in the midst of a grueling game” for guides and editorial. Hmmmm, somebody roll a perception check and let me know what you find.

And you, reader dear, what are you playing this weekend?
