Jack Blatherwick: Fast bowler signs new contract with Lancashire

Lancashire fast bowler Jack Blatherwick has signed a new two-year contract which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2027 county season.

The 27-year-old joined the Red Rose county from Nottinghamshire in 2020 and has made 57 appearances in all formats, taking 72 wickets.

Blatherwick was a key member of Lancashire’s T20 Blast side last summer, taking 13 wickets as he helped them reach Finals Day where they were beaten in the last four by the eventual champions Somerset.

“Joining this club has been hugely positive for my development as a player, and I’m excited to keep pushing myself and contributing to the team in the years ahead,” he told the Lancashire website., external

“I’ve really enjoyed having a more regular role in the T20 side over the past couple of seasons, with a massive focus of mine becoming more consistent in red ball and earning my spot as an all-format player.

“Winning a trophy here at Lancashire is a big ambition of mine going forward.”
