Seoul Sends Envoy, Industry Giants to Canada in Submarine Push


The Canadian submarine project, one of the largest recent defense procurements globally, would be evaluated not only on performance and price, but also on industrial cooperation and job creation, Kang said. Winning the deal could generate at least 40 trillion won ($27.6 billion) in domestic output and support over 300 local suppliers, with potential to create more than 20,000 jobs, he added.
