The Kansas City Chiefs continue their coaching staff shake-up with another significant change. Head coach Andy Reid continues to readjust his staff after recently parting ways with long-time associate Todd Pinkson.
According to the Kansas City Star’s Sam McDowell, Pinkston was let go after being hired by the team in 2023. The former wide receiver under Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles won a Super Bowl title with the Chiefs in his first season on the staff.
The Chiefs have already parted ways with wide receiver coach Conner Embree and will be welcoming Eric Bieniemy as their new offensive coordinator. Pinkston’s history with Reid dates back to his playing days, showing his loyalty to the system and signaling drastic changes after a disappointing 2025 season.

Kansas City’s running game lacked explosion all season due to injuries, and big plays were rare from the position. Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco led the team in rushing, with Hunt finishing with 611 yards and Pacheco with 462 yards. Rookie running back Brashard Smith contributed with 151 yards on the ground but proved to be a versatile threat in the passing game.
