Invincible season 4 trailer reveals the release date and its final boss Thragg

Invincible season 4 finally has a release date. After promising the show would return in March 2026 during New York Comic Con last October, Amazon revealed the exact date while releasing a first-look trailer for the upcoming season of Prime Video’s ultra-violent animated superhero show. Invincible returns on March 18, and it’s set to introduce the story’s most important villain: Thragg.

Voiced by Lee Pace (The Running Man, Foundation), Thragg is the strongest Viltrumite of them all and the leader of the imperialist alien race. As Grand Regent, he rules over the entire Viltrum Empire. It’s a role Thragg has trained for since birth, making him both the best fighter and the smartest strategist of his people. Unlike many of the other Viltrumites who use their incredible strength to steamroll enemies, Thragg can also be restrained and cunning, making him an even greater threat to our heroes.

Speaking of which, the Invincible season 4 trailer also shows the return of Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), who betrays his fellow Viltrumites to form an alliance with Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen). Together, they travel to Earth to recruit Omni-Man’s half-human son, Mark/Invincible (Steven Yeun), to join the growing Coalition of the Planets that hopes to stop the Viltrumites once and for all.

Like in previous seasons, Invincible season 4 will likely feature a mix of one-off adventures and episodes that move the main plot forward. The trailer also shows us Mark fighting a Dinosaurus (a transforming dinosaur voiced by Matthew Rhys) and teases the arrival of Universa (Black Panther star Danai Gurira), a mysterious alien antagonist who’s set to cause plenty of problems for Earth when she arrives.

Good thing Omni-Man’s back. Mark will need all the help he can get.

Invincible season 4 premieres March 18 on Prime Video.
