Jessie Buckley took a pair of spring 2026 Chanel pumps by Matthieu Blazy for a spin for her appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The “Hamnet” actress and recent Golden Globe winner wore a black and white pump style displaying the new creative director’s reimagination of the house’s famous cap-toe pump. Playing with proportion, the cap-toe accent appears smaller with this shoe. The silhouette features an almond toe, higher-than-normal vamp and a distinctive tapered heel. Her white-on-black iteration of the shoe accompanied additional spring 2026 Chanel items, an outfit from the runway comprising an oversize white collared shirt and sweeping high-low black skirt.
Chanel has long been associated with the cap-toe look. The timeless shoe created by Coco Chanel and Raymond Massaro, presented as a beige slingback with a black cap toe, was first introduced in 1957. This color-blocked aesthetic has become an enduring style for the French house, applied for decades across different shoe styles.

Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection for Chanel has been a hit among the celebrity crowd, including his unique shoes. Another popular style is a square-toe pump with a high vamp featuring a triangular outline. Riley Keough and Rosalia have worn the style, in addition to Maya Rudolph on Sunday, as seen on FN’s best shoes on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet list.
Joelle Diderich reviewed Blazy’s spring 2026 show for WWD, writing, “After months of excruciating buildup, Matthieu Blazy delivered a case study in brand rejuvenation with a show at the Grand Palais that managed to feel both spectacular and unexpectedly intimate.”
