Matt Taylor: Gloucestershire bowler signs new two-year deal until 2028

Gloucestershire pace bowler Matt Taylor has extended his contract with the club for another two years to keep him at the Bristol County Ground until 2028.

The 31-year-old made his debut almost 15 years ago and has gone on to feature 220 times in all formats for the club.

He took 18 wickets in eight County Championship matches last season, 14 in the One-Day Cup as Gloucestershire reached the quarter-finals while he is the club’s fourth all-time wicket-taker in the T20 Blast.

“A Gloucestershire man through and through, he pours his heart and soul into the Club and is a true team player, always willing to do the hard yards for the side,” said director of cricket Jon Lewis.

“Matt played an integral role in our trophy-winning season two years ago, and we recognise his ability to contribute across all three formats.”
