Donald Trump warns Iran not to start shooting


One person close to Rubio, speaking on the condition of anonymity to describe private policy discussions, said that the U.S. “can’t be everywhere at once,” a reference to ongoing involvement in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere in the Middle East, the Russia-Ukraine war and now Venezuela. But, the person said, Trump views it “in the national interest to make sure there’s not a wholesale slaughter of civilians” in Iran.
