James Rew: Somerset wicketkeeper extends contract to end of 2026

Somerset’s England Lions wicketkeeper James Rew has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 21-year-old’s new deal will keep him at Taunton until the end of 2026.

The former England Under-19 player made his List A debut in 2021 before making his first-class and T20 bows the following year.

He has gone on to score more than 5,000 runs across all formats of the game with a career-best 221 in a County Championship game in 2023.
