Authorities thwarted a potential New Year’s Eve terror attack in North Carolina, the FBI announced Friday.

The FBI’s field office in Charlotte, North Carolina, announced on social media that the potential attack was inspired by ISIS.

Few details were released, but authorities are expected to hold a news conference with more information at 11:30 a.m. ET.
