Alex Consani Fronts YSL Beauty’s New Lash Latex Mascara

YSL Beauty has teamed up with Gen Z “It girl” and former Model of the Year Alex Consani for the launch of its latest innovation, the Lash Latex Mascara. Available to purchase on Sephora.com starting Dec. 18, the new product mimics the feel of Couture Latex without the plastic. It’s made with a water-based bonding formula and a clump-free brush designed to lift and sculpt the lashes for up to 24 hours. This is YSL Beauty’s second mascara, after its cult-favorite Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara.

Similar to its Myslf L’Absolu fragrance, the Lash Latex Mascara is bottled in the quintessental silver tube with YSL embossed on the side. The brush is noticeably more stringent than the oversize Lash Clash applicator.

“Lash Latex definitively expands our vision and presence in the eye category with a new mascara that promises stretch, lift, and precision. Built around the concept of an empowering lash workout, the nourishing formula, paired with an exclusive lash-fitting brush, meticulously wraps and sculpts each lash,” Juliette Ferret, general manager of YSL Beauty U.S., told WWD.

Of Consani’s participation in the campaign, which sees her flaunt sky-high lashes over shadowed lids, Ferret said: “Alex Consani with her modern confidence and bold individuality, perfectly embodies the world of Lash Latex and the YSL Beauty woman in the campaign.”

While this marks Consani’s first time fronting a campaign for the luxury makeup, skin care and fragrance brand, the 22-year-old has been collaborating with its newly appointed Global Makeup Artist, Sam Visser, for years. The two teamed up back in May for her appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where she touted an auburn-toned smoky eye and a rose taupe lip. Visser was also responsible for her bold eye look in the look book for Demna Gvasalia’s Gucci pre-fall 2026 collection, which dropped on Dec. 4.

Like Consani, Visser is leading the next generation of fashion and beauty changemakers, blending his red carpet makeup expertise with his avant-garde artistry. At just 25 years old, he’s painted the faces of almost every Kardashian, plus Bella Hadid, Doja Cat, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter and more.

Speaking of celebrity talent, YSL Beauty has featured a fair share of A-listers in its campaigns this year. In September, Feid, the 33-year-old Colombian music artist, was announced as the new U.S. Voice of YSL Beauty’s Myslf L’Absolu fragrance for men following the appointment of Drew Starkey, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Austin Butler.
