Letters: Shell-shocked over Franklin and other issues of the week

Henry Geraedts’ recent column in FP Comment mischaracterized the role and reliability of hydropower in Canada’s electricity system. It is one of the most dependable and dispatchable forms of generation we have, providing baseload power, peak balancing, system stability, and the flexible capacity needed to support all other clean energy sources. This is why provinces like B.C., Manitoba, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador consistently deliver some of the most reliable electricity in North America.
