Inter Milan Fined By Sports Judge For Fan Chants In Coppa Italia Clash With Venezia


Inter Milan have been fined €5000 by the sports judge following fan behaviour during the Coppa Italia win over Venezia.

The sanction was confirmed in the official judgement released by the Lega Serie A disciplinary office on Friday, via FCInterNews.

According to the report issued by sports judge Alessandro Zampone, a group of Inter supporters “directed a denigratory chant towards another fanbase” in the 77th minute of the match at San Siro.

The incident was noted by the match officials and subsequently included in the post-game report submitted to the league.

The fine is limited to a financial penalty, with no further measures imposed.

However, the league’s disciplinary body has reinforced its stance on discriminatory or derogatory chanting.

Indeed, which continues to carry increased scrutiny across domestic competitions.

Inter are preparing to return to action in Serie A against Como.

With Cristian Chivu’s side aiming to maintain momentum following their Coppa Italia progression.
