What happened to Brock Bowers? Why Raiders’ star TE had awful Thursday Night Football game

On Sunday, Brock Bowers had 12 catches.

On Thursday, four days later, he had one catch.

Yeah, it was an ugly night for the Las Vegas Raiders, who dropped Week 10 Thursday Night Football to the Denver Broncos by a 10-7 score.

Neither team moved the ball, and Bowers was hurt by that fact.

What happened to Brock Bowers?

More than anything, Bowers was victim to one of the worst offensive games across the board in recent memories.

Both teams had more penalties than first downs.

Broncos QB Bo Nix threw for just 150 yards and actually outdid Geno Smith (143).

The Raiders also had Smith dealing with a bit of injury, not helping their rhythm when Kenny Pickett had to pop in quick.

Vegas did an oddly poor job of even trying to involve Bowers. Worse than his one catch for 31 yards is the fact that he only got three targets.

He’s clearly their best pass catcher, even more so now that Jakobi Meyers was traded away. For Bowers to get only three targets is absolutely horrible.

Bowers’ fantasy managers won’t be happy, and neither will the Raiders fanbase. It was just a brutal night.
