US DOT Sees 7% of Workers Aiming to Take Second Buyout Offer


The offer bore many of the hallmarks of Elon Musk’s “Fork in the Road” deferred resignation initiative, which was offered to all federal workers earlier this year. The transportation agency exempted certain categories of “essential” employees, including air traffic controllers, cybersecurity workers and aviation and railroad safety inspectors.
