Given Jones is one of the Brit-girls of the moment, it’s hard not to think of the New Rave era that swept Britain while she was a teen. The British subculture of the mid aughts was characterized by its heavy and hectic DIY disco sounds, and a defining aesthetic of fluorescent clothing. Think early House of Holland and its oversized, brightly colored slogan t-shirts, purple Nike high-tops, and Topshop concessions chock full of bodysuits, patterned tights, and hot pants. Out of context of a storied Italian house or a buzzy stateside red carpet, the look could easily translate to a Bristol rave, with a Klaxons secret set and Alexa Chung hanging out in the smoking area, asking where you got that bodysuit.

Still, Jones remains a faithful ambassador for Gucci, usually opting for sleek tailoring, sculptural gowns, and classic accessories.
Jones joined her On Swift Horses castmates Diego Calva, Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, and Sasha Calle onstage to introduce the film. Jones plays Muriel, who finds herself embroiled in a secret life of gambling on racehorses and complicated trysts in the 1950s-set romantic drama, adapted from Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 novel.
