Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning Super Bowl Trailer Packs in Nostalgia and More Tom Cruise Stunts

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning is shaping up to be one of 2025’s biggest movies, so Tom Cruise and co made sure to make a splash with a nostalgic Super Bowl LIX trailer ahead of its theatrical premiere this May.

The 30-second Big Game spot, unsurprisingly, starts with Cruise on the run before showing familiar shots from the action franchise’s first installment and the faces hero Ethan Hunt has met along the way. The get-together includes names like Ving Rhames’ Luther, Simon Pegg’s Benji, Hayley Atwell’s Grace, and Pom Klementieff’s Paris as audiences get more sneak peeks at some of the death-defying stunts the crew will pull off for their latest impossible mission. Cruise’s biplane scene still takes the cake as what might be the series’ gnarliest yet, though it looks like Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning still has a few surprises up its sleeve.

This year’s Mission Impossible installment picks up after the events of 2023’s Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. That means the nearly two-year-long wait to see the conclusion to this latest saga is nearly at an end, though the franchise’s future after this remains a mystery.

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning comes to theaters May 23, 2025. If you need to play catch up before Cruise’s latest premieres, you can see where to watch every film in the series here. For more on the Big Game, you can see our collection of all of the biggest commercials and trailers here.
