Durhams’ strong start to the Blast season continued with a dominant performance to beat Leicestershire Foxes by six wickets with six overs to spare at the Riverside.

Matthew Potts 3-28, including two wickets in an over, checked the Foxes charge with the bat as the visitors were restricted to 148-8.

The opening pair of Graham Clark (62) and Alex Lees (45) put on 107 for the opening partnership – the former registering a 19th 50-plus T20 score for Durham, eclipsing a club record set by Phil Mustard.

Despite losing four wickets for 21 runs after Lees was dismissed, Colin Ackermann (19) and wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson (10) saw Durham home.

Moeen rolled back the years for Yorkshire, giving crucial momentum to the middle of a big run chase to down Derbyshire at Headingley.

Martin Andersson helped the visitors to 194-4 with a superb unbeaten 81. But, arriving at the wicket with Yorkshire wilting at 49-3, the former England all-rounder hit a 35-ball 51.

When Moeen was out at 123-7 Yorkshire still needed 72 runs, but an unbeaten ninth-wicket partnership between Andrew Tye (32) and Hasan Ali (31) got the White Rose over the line with four balls to spare.

Yorkshire sit second in North Group, behind Durham on eight points but with a slightly inferior net run-rate.
